Meditation Feb 27, 2019

Being made of stardust, you are much like a star. You shine with light, give warmth, and burn with inner fire. You don’t need outside energy, you are energy.

This weeks meditation I took a step back. There were a few new faces so I wanted to bring back what we have been going over the past couple weeks and what I find is important. Laying down a solid foundation and coming back to the theme of love. Love is the root to all. Whether that is lack of love or not. Everything needs love and needs to be open to love.

When you close yourself off to love its like you are a fish out of water expecting to stay alive when you are lacking what you need most.

Sabrina Plata

I feel as though I’m getting more creative with these meditations and its exciting to see the evolution. But it is also important to come back to the root and the reason why I started in the first place. To remind the world of love and to help others forgive and love themselves.

I grew up in a home where I learned the affects of not fulling loving yourself and not allowing your self to heal from past traumas. We are taught to not be weak, to not be emotional, to not open up. A result of that is we do not know how to process our emotions so they get buried deep inside of our selves. They take up space so that we don’t have room for creativity and open expression. They take form as reactivity and oppression. We let hate fill that void we are longing for. We become selfish, judgmental, hurt, angry, greedy, and closed off. What ever you put out into the world is just a reflection of how you truly feel on the inside.

I see a lot of hurt in the world to this day. I am aware of the pain in societies eyes. Since I know this pain all I have is compassion for the people in front of me, for the world. I want to help heal and mend those broken pieces of those lost hurt souls.

This weeks mediation I taught to observe before reacting, becoming aware of your habits and the instant thought that comes up. What is your instant reaction? For that is a reflect of your most deepest self. Become aware of the pain inside you. That is how you know where to start your healing journey, what you need to focus on first. Become open to other perceptions outside yourself.

For everyone who came: Thank you for joining me. I am so grateful to have new faces come in! I want to continue the expansion. Feel free to bring your friends! Remember what you wrote down, what you choose to let go, the expectations you may have on your self or on things outside of you. You are more than that, you are divine. You are whole, grateful, eternal, fearless and beautiful.

For everyone yet to come: Feel free to join us this next coming week if you like what you are reading. Always open to meeting new people! Come meditate and find your divinity, become aware of the love within you.

Till next week! Namaste

Meditation Feb 13, 2019

Kamala is Sanskrit for lotus. Throughout time the lotus flower has been a powerful spiritual symbol. A lotus has its roots in mud, at the bottom of streams and ponds. But it grows to become the most beautiful flower despite its origins. It symbolizes how we too can overcome all obstacles on our journey towards enlightenment and flourish. It also represents growth and spiritual development.

This week I decided to create a series of self healing and go through the steps of an emotional detox. I am basing these next mediations off a book I read last summer called Emotional Detox by Sherianna Boyle, med, cags. The series goes through seven steps to release toxicity and energize joy. The past couple meditations all ready started this process in a way. We already went through becoming aware of our internal feelings and becoming aware of our individual divinity. An emotional detox allows you to remove unwanted impurities that prevent you from living a full and healthy life.

Deep inside if you cleanse fear, insecurity, and doubt, you could create the life you desire an deserve.

Sherianna Boyle

During this weeks meditation I decided to read a visual meditation that brought you our of your body to open your eyes to a whole new perspective. We are all connected and everything we need is already with in us. It taught us about the infinite power, knowledge and compassion that we hold. We are beings of great power.

Society is unaware of this power therefor it is left dormant just itching to come out. When you are not full filling your full potential that is when the feelings of anxiety and depression set in. This visual was to show you that there is more to life than just living in the cycle of societal norms and expectations. You are more than just a routine life, you are a being of great wonder and you have a specific unique journey. Not one journey is the same but yet connected like a thread is connected to a piece of clothing. We are not separate yet an extension of the past and a thread for the future.

Ram Dass started the visual as a lotus in the middle of your chest, where the hridayam, the spiritual heart, is located. Focusing on our breath and that flower growing. On the lotus is a small being and as our breath grew so did that being until it filled the whole universe within it. It was there to show us that the universe resides within us. In order to understand we had to expand our awareness to reach more than we thought we could. To then come down in size back to the middle part of the chest, the spiritual heart. To embody that we do hold the entire universe within therefore we hold all the knowledge of past beings and future beings. We hold all the compassion in the world because we know, pain, struggle, self doubt, loss of a lover, the love a mother has for her child, grief, hate, love, happiness, joy. We hold it all and we understand it all therefore we have only compassion because we know the pain in others. We have unconditional love with in us ready to pour out like a hot stream of lava, we just needed to break the seal.

Wow, i’ll tell you, we sure did break the seal. During the meditation everyone was so deep in their space. Deep in their divinity. I felt such strong energy pulls from the group. I felt what they felt, an overwhelming feeling of emotion and understanding. Tears ran down multiple faces. Multiple people releasing and just basking in the flow of unconditional love they just discovered. It was such a powerful night.

I’m so thankful I got to experience that beautiful transformation. After the meditation I felt empowered and so grateful that I can make an impact like that and help others reach a higher state of consciousness. I like to know I’m changing the world little by little. Just by at least impacting one persons life a week. I want to share my love and light and help others find that with in themselves as well.

One of my good friends now, he’s been attending the meditations since the very beginning when it was just 6 people at first, wrote a testimonial about this last meditation. It reads:

Our last meditation group was powerful for me, similar to the power I experienced watching my daughters’ births. I understood new life in a powerful way and it was overwhelming.

I almost stayed home because I was a little depressed and my wife was tired but the kids went to bed quick and something inside me told me I really needed to go. Bri gave us all paper and a pen and told us to write down our fears or whatever is negative in our lives. The first thing I wrote on that list was self-hatred. I can’t remember what the next two things were that I wrote. First lesson looking back on it: trust intuition. The energy inside of me is very wise and the first thing I wrote was exactly what I needed to write. Then she told us to throw our papers in the fire.

After that we started the meditation and Bri lead us with relaxation and then she started reading. The text was about the power inside of us. I can’t remember exactly what was in the text for the first part but I went inside myself into the power and vibration, the frequency of love. Bri then described a small seed of love and beauty and intuition and power that resides in our chests. Then she told us to let it grow and fill our entire bodies. She led us to look at ourselves and cast off our old confusion, self-doubt, pain and enslavement and replace it with a pure deep love that resides in the powerful, pure energy that gives us the reality beyond what our minds can understand. This is when I broke down and cried and let that love run through me. I understood that there is no difference between God, the teacher and the pupil. We are all made of this Power, Love, Consciousness, Being, God, Pure Vibration. The term “I AM” came alive to me.

Today looking back and pondering I discovered that we can communicate with this Being that we are made of and that flows through us and everything. We call it intuition. We can be in that presence, in that peace and we can be full of joy. I was broken by the church and now I have a view of God that I’m not afraid of, who is not up above looking down but just is. Everywhere. A God that doesn’t have expectations of me and is not judging me but is only love and that love is therefore unconditional.

We are connected and we are the divine.

My good Friend

Cacao Ceremony in honor of Bob Marley

It’s Bob Marleys birthday on this day and my good friend Aurandeep, also known as Deep Das, wanted to do something special. Therefore we decided to do a collab, so for this week it is not only a guided meditation but also a cacao ceremony!

What is a cacao ceremony?

Well cacao is chocolate in its purest form. You prepare it like hot chocolate! It’s a nice warm drink to warm your heart. It will bring you a heart opening experience. It can bring you to a deep feeling of connection with mother earth, divine grace, your spirit guide, your soul, and to the universe itself. You will feel love and connect to your heart center.  You’ll become aware of your own divinity. We drink it in unity reminding each other that we are the same and we are all are own divine beautiful beings. There is more to life than what meets the eye. Sometimes we get lost in the noise of societies expectations that we forget we are much much more than that. Our labels do not defy us and we are everlasting.

Live with authenticity and become aware of your divinity.

Sabrina Plata

The Ceremony was a success! We drank the cacao together and shared our hearts with one another. It was a beautiful moment as a community to come together enjoy a delicious drink. All while feeling free and safe enough to share and open up to the group about what is going on internally. This space is a judgment free zone and we are all here to support each other on this journey we call life.

A lot of the time we are so disconnected with each other and the things around us that we live in our heads. That is where we allow overthinking, anxiety and depression come in. So I wanted to turn that around and bring us to the realization that we need community. We need to connect outside of ourselves; unplug ourselves from constantly living in a bubble.

I can not believe how much we did in just a few hours. People were coming and going throughout the night. I lead a small Vinyasa flow while waiting for the cacao to be done cooking. The night was full of ease and exploration. We had a small meditation more focusing on the intention of connection and self divinity.

After the meditation we joined together and went around to say what we are thankful for in a cheers before drinking the cacao. We all sat together content and happy; feeling the energy as it was being passed around the room. Soon after we turned Bob Marley’s music up and just danced our hearts out. I always found dance a great way to express ourselves and release built up energy.

The night later ended with a sound healing. My good friend Deri is a sound healer and she plays singing bowls. They are used to send out vibrations at different frequencies. They help realign your chakras and help you feel more grounded and balanced. Everyone was so at peace as she plays and talks to us reciting affirmations.

The whole night was beautiful. lots of activities. Definitely more events to come. Im so thankful for everyone who showed up and shared their own individual light.

Walk slow and easy.

Feel everything, attach to nothing.

Love without expectation.

Thrive without the assumptions of success and glory.

Be humble in your findings, yet share everything.

Live with the intention of acceptance and love.

Let go of judgment and worry.

Find comfort in discomfort.

Acknowledge that you are all knowing.

For if you go forward with good intention and true authenticity,

then you’ll live a life of peace and prosperity.

Always and forever, bask in the glory of your own being.

Sabrina Plata

For everyone who came: I’m thankful for your presence. I hope you enjoyed the eventful night and I hope you continue your journey with me and this community. You are all so amazing in your own way. I hope you take the light within you and let it shine for others to enjoy. You are much more than you think. Flourish in the creation of your own journey.

For everyone yet to come: I hope this sparked your interest! I would love to meet you and include you in building this conscious community. If your interested in upcoming events please message me! Sending love your way!

Meditation Jan 30, 2019

In this moment I felt so blessed. I choose happiness and I see the beauty in everything. I was overwhelmed with the love and gratitude I felt for everything. I went on a solo beach trip to release and recenter. I had the best day. This is when I picked the intention of choosing happiness for this practice.

We are constantly evolving, every week the meditation circle gets better. Better content, more open to group sharing and building friendships. It was about 45 minutes that we were in the meditation, I offered more time for silence as well. After I even incorporated writing time, so bring your journal!

I started off by giving some time to write our intention down. Our intention for the meditation, for the time we give ourselves to heal and grow. This meditation circle isn’t just for building community but also a safe place to heal and grow as a individual with the love and support of like minded people around you.

It was a more close knit group this time so I felt comfortable going deeper into the “why” we are here and allowed more time for self reflection.

My intention for this meditation is to allow yourself to see the good, look for the good in everything. You always have a choice and many people don’t realize that. Happiness doesn’t just come. It’s not something you wait for. It’s something you choose to let into your heart. You have to choose happiness, allow love and compassion in and let it radiate through you.

During the meditation I explained this. Shift your perspective. Change your thinking. Allow yourself to come up with a different outcome, a better one.

I created a visual of a place that always warms my heart. I brought everyone to a place of serenity. I allowed them to sit and bask in the glory of this beautiful place and find the light in their heart that is just aching to be let out. The theme was the beach. A beautiful setting, warm and inviting. As the waves crashed so did all our worries. We went through a couple times releasing what does not serve us focusing on our breath. Relieving ourselves of self doubt, failed expectations, and damaging toxic thinking.

Corona Del Mar State Beach in Newport CA.
The beach I visited the day before. Beaches have always been my serenity.

I asked “what is holding you back from allowing yourself to choose happiness?” I let them sit with this question in silence, really let it resonate.

The only thing really holding you back is your thinking. So many people I talk to about meditation or just trying to better their mind and go forward with a happy heart say they don’t have that kind of ability. What they don’t understand is that they do have the ability they just are not allowing themselves to dive into it. They are holding themselves back, maybe with the fear of knowing that they might never fully get there. That’s your ego taking over, all your insecurities taking over, self doubt clouding your judgment. You need to push past that. Let it go. Let the fear and doubt go.

I added some small movement this time as well, we ended in Shavasana and I went around and misted everyone with a cucumber green tea mist to embody the mist of the ocean. Then I gave them some time to write. Also to just sit and receive all the benefits of the practice. All the power you need is within yourself. I invite you to expand your awareness. You are so much more than you think. Choose happiness. See the beauty in the world and within yourself. I invite you to go forward with good intention, and a open heart. We are all connected, there is so much more than our own individual beings. We are one. We must open our hearts to see the truth that lies within.

Polish the mirror of your heart, so you can clearly see that I am you and that you are me.

Aurandeep Samra

For everyone who came: Thank you again for showing up! That’s half the battle. We are on this journey together of healing. I hope this mediation was helpful to you and I look forward to seeing you next week! Much love!

For everyone yet to come: I hope reading these little summaries help you see what this is all about and why I am creating this space. I hope this will encourage you to come, Remember just getting here is half the battle. You can message me for any questions or details regarding future events. Can’t wait to meet you!

Meditation Jan 23, 2019

img_3561
8 of the 9, beautiful souls.

The meditation last night was on fire! The energy was radiating. From the very first meditation circle it went from 3 people to 6 then to 9 people! In sacred geometry all numbers come back to 3, 6, 9. Everything is aligning and I’m so grateful.

We started with everyone coming together and settling in there positions. We went around and introduced ourselves. I always start with a question that I bring to the circle.

Last night I asked “Why are you here?” I got a lot of different answers however one really resonated. They said community. Building community, building a beautiful conscious community. There are a lot of benefits from meditating alone but theres a different effect meditating with a group. The vibe is amplified and you can feel the energy flowing around the room. The intention is to bring awareness to yourself and also the energies around you realizing you are one. Knowing you are not alone, we are all in this together.

The intention of the meditation last night was Self Forgiveness and self love. Its importation to recognize all the weight you put on to yourself. All the blame, shame, failed expectations, self doubt, all the things you cannot control. We take on so much and expect so much from ourselves. We fail to recognize the beauty within each of us. The achievements and growth we have endured.

We tend to focus on what we are not doing instead of what we are doing. We even speak to ourselves like we are our worst enemy. Think about it, some of the things you say to yourself would you say to your mom or someone you truly respect? Probably not, so why treat yourself in that way? That’s where the self love is lacking, thats how you know you are not fully loving yourself let alone allowing yourself to get to know yourself.

During the meditation we focused on forgiving ourselves of the hurt we have caused and the pain we put ourselves through. We forgave the fact that we aren’t perfect. We put into perspective that we are whole and we can become new again, free of expectation. I invite you to take 15 seconds to let go of any expectation you have on yourself. Just try it for 15 seconds, breathe into that intention.

I like to recite a mantra with the group that resonates with the intention of the meditation. It’s from the book Mantras Made Easy by Sherianna Boyle, Med, Cags. It Reads:

I now have the energy and strength

to create new thoughts and beliefs.

You have the power to show yourself the love and forgiveness you deserve. Change your thought, change the way you see yourself. Become open to the energy you’ll receive once you allow yourself forgiveness. You will feel free and replenished!

We ended the night dancing free from the troubles of our mind and the weight of our ego. We danced together as one, free of judgment and full of love. Love for ourselves and each other. The fire was burning, figuratively and literally. We had a fire going and the flame wasn’t just in the fireplace it was also in our hearts.

For everyone who came: Thank you so much! Your presence was truly amazing and I’m beyond grateful that you all are apart of my journey. I’m excited to move forward and watch the group expand and grow. I love you all.

For everyone yet to come: I hope to see you at the next meditation! Also, I hope you enjoyed my description and maybe even learned something! If you have any questions about the meditation or anything really, go to the contact tab and send me a message! Love to hear from you !

Till next week! Namaste
